PWHL fantasy scoring explained

Learn how real game statistics become fantasy points, which players count, and how bonuses work.

Example settings below use the game defaults. Your league may use different values.

Turn on-ice performances into points

Your selected players earn fantasy points from real PWHL game statistics.

Goals, assists and other recorded actions add points; penalties, giveaways and goals against can subtract points.

Team scoring uses the lineup saved for that round, including eligible bench substitutions. Owning a player alone does not make all her points count.

A power-play goal earns the normal goal points plus the power-play-goal bonus. Recorded shots and other actions are scored separately.

Live totals can change as games finish and statistics are processed or corrected. Compare fantasy points rather than hockey goals-and-assists totals.

Choose who plays for you today

Fill all six starting slots: LW, C and RW with forwards; LD and RD with defenders; G with a goalie.

Fill up to three bench slots with backup players. Other owned players remain in your pool outside the daily lineup.

Automatic substitutions use the highest positive-scoring unused bench player of the same position when a starter has no game recorded in the round. Each substitute is used once. A starter who played and scored zero is not replaced just for scoring zero.

Default scoring reference

These are reference defaults from the game, not necessarily the active scoring rules. Administrators can update scoring. Check the in-app How to Play guide for current values before choosing your lineup.

1 power-play goal + 1 assist + 3 shots = 14. Includes both the goal and power-play bonus.

A shutout win with 30 saves = 15. Includes win, save and shutout points.
